Bridging in Action

Alright, now that we’ve built our own bridge, it’s time to take it for a spin and move some tokens between chains! 🌉🎉

🎮 Bridging Tokens: Let’s Do This! 🎮

To get started, you’ll need to link up wallets from both chains. For this example, we’ll be moving MATIC from Polygon Mumbai to Solana Devnet. 🔄

💧 Grabbing Some Faucet 💧

First things first, we need some play money, also known as “faucet.” Head over to Polygon’s Faucet and paste in your wallet address. You’ll receive around 0.2 MATIC, which is plenty for our little experiment. 🤑

🎯 Picking Your Assets 🎯

Next, navigate to our bridge and connect your Metamask or any EVM-compatible wallet. Choose MATIC as the asset you want to bridge. 🌉

Now, switch over to the Solana network and connect your Phantom or another Solana wallet. 🌐

You might see a message saying there’s no token account for wrapped MATIC on Solana. No worries! You’ll just need to create a token account, which will cost a tiny bit in gas fees. ⛽

After that’s sorted, decide how much MATIC you want to move. For this example, I’ll go with 1 USD, which will convert to 1 USD worth of wrapped MATIC (WMATIC) on Solana. 💵

🚀 Approve and Claim 🚀

Hit “Approve” on the transaction. Depending on network speed, you’ll wait for confirmations from the source network, the Wormhole network, and finally the destination network. 🕒

Once you get the green light, you can claim your tokens on the destination network. This will involve signing a few transactions. 🖋️

And voila! You’ll see your shiny new wrapped MATIC in your wallet! 🌟

Now, let’s explore how you can jazz up your bridge, from changing colors to adding new tokens and networks. 🎨🛠️
